On the Oriental coast of Sardinia, on the Orosei Gulf, Cala Gonone is found.

A famous seaside resorts that lean out on the clear waters of the Orosei Gulf. The coast is rich of uncontaminated landscapes, unusual caves as the one of the Bue Marino, suggestive beaches and caves such as Cala Mariolu and Cala Luna. It preserves the traces of an ancient civilization with its Nuragic villages, the Giants' Graves, Dolmen, Necropolis and Domus de Janas. - The most appealing aspect in this gulf is probably its beaches. They show all their beauty between slopes, caverns and rock arches.

The Spiaggia Centrale pebble and sand beach near to the harbour. Along the sea-front, called Lungomare, the Palmasera beaches are found. These are free small beaches in front of the town which can be reached directly from the road. Cala Gonone is ideal for sport activities such as diving, trekking, biking, climbing, canyon, canoeing and excursions by boat or by jeep.

The nearest airport to Cala Gonone is Olbia airport, which is approximately 2 hours by car while Aghero airport is approximately 3 hours by car. Both airports are served by bus transports. For the one who prefers to travel by car, crossing the main road SS 131 in direction of Nuoro and continuing in direction of Olbia, to around 5-10mnts we found Dorgali junction. Crossing the town of Dorgali we found Cala Gonone junction. - Dorgali is the nearest town to Cala Gonone famous for its craftsmanship and its delicious typical products.
